I'm your host Feras, and today we're going to sail into the depths of the Atlantic, to a place that both fascinated and terrified the world for decades. Yes, you guessed it right we're exploring the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle. The Bermuda Triangle is a loosely defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean. It's roughly bounded by Miami, bermuda and Puerto Rico. Over the years, a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances while traversing this area. Despite the sensational accounts, the US board on geographic names does not officially recognize the Bermuda Triangle as a real location. Furthermore, the US Navy also states that the Triangle does not exist. But what fuels the legend of the Bermuda Triangle? What are the theories that attempt to explain the unexplained? Our story begins in the 1950s, when the term Bermuda Triangle was first coined by Gaddis in in an article he wrote for Argosy Magazine. However, the first unexplained event attributed to the Bermuda Triangle occurred much earlier, in the late 19th century, with the mystery of the USS Cyclops.

It was March 4, 1918, and the colossal Collier ship, with its towering masts and powerful engines, was on a crucial mission during the tumultuous years of the First World War. The Cyclops, named after the mythical giants of ancient Greece, was loaded with precious cargo of coal. Distant for the British fleet, the ship was a behemoth, over 500 feet in length, defying the sea with its sheer size and power.

As the night wore on, the tempest grew fiercer, unleashing its wrath upon the ship. Waves the size of mountains crashed down against the Cyclops, relentlessly battering its hull. The crew fought valiantly to keep the vessel afloat, but the storm seemed insatiable in its quest to consume them. Suddenly, a deafening crack echoed through the air, shaking the ship at its core. The Cyclops shattered, as if it struck by a monstrous force lurking beneath the unforgiving sea. They crippled through the crew as they clung to anything they could find to maintain their footing In the chaos that ensued.

This enigmatic tale became moving into the fabric of popular culture, sparking countless novels and documentaries that sought to shed light on the inexplicable.
